Italian Renaissance Villa

Italian Renaissance Villa

Having designed this residence for previous clients, we were asked by the new owners to create a stunning and seamless villa through an extensive addition and complete interior renovation.

At first glance, the front entrance gives little away regarding the house’s expansion. However, with the purchase of the eastern neighboring property, the original square footage of this Preston Hollow villa doubled in size and gave this couple plenty of space to showcase their love of art, design, and architecture.

Keeping the existing home largely intact, the additions flank each end of the residence as shown in the original (above) and proposed (below) elevations.

The rear facade appears more dramatic largely in part to the ten foot grade change with the added property and the home’s design in response to the site.

The Wine Tasting Room spatially occupies the previous garages, though bears no resemblance to its former use. Interior designer Sherry Hayslip worked closely with RDDA and the clients to create this extraordinary cellar as well as the new interiors of the rest of the house.
